Personally I like the fact that the event is Wales based, it would be a real shame to move across the boarder simply for a larger venue, although I belierve the fans would follow.
A two day event at Glyndwr would for me represent the best solution. I would like to suggest however that a finite number of tickets are made a available on the door to encourage pre-booking and also that the number of stewards be increased to improve communication (volunteer here! LOL). I'd also like to adds the comment that panel sinage and timings could be better displayed.
I hope my comments are helpful and would like to congratulate the team for another successful year - particularly Ed for the time and effort in researching all the guests.
Look forward to 2013

If the same guests appeared on both days I would have no problem with it being a 2 day event but I would prefer it to stay in Wrexham.
However if it was made so that different people appeared on different days I would not be happy with paying for 2 tickets/weekend ticket (especially if there was only 1 person one day and another the next I wanted to meet), paying for the train twice and doing so much travelling

I'd love it to stay in Wrexham if possible. If the event was spread over 2 days I think it'd be fine in the current venue, but I could understand that being an issue for the celebrity guests. Having said that if you had big names on both days, it would make good business sense as I'm sure people wouldn't mind paying twice, presuming the total entry fee wasn't a massive increase from 2012's. ps- If you manage to blag Felica Day can I offer my free services of being her manservant for the day/week/month/lifetime

South Wales isn't an option at the moment unfortunately, however it will certainly be something to think about in the future!

Different guests and panels each day, special offer price for a weekend ticket if you want to see everything. Could be very tricky though to balance the guests, so you don't get everyone coming on the first day, and none on the second. But on the other hand, as you pointed out, some people won't want to pay for two days just to see 1 person. Perhaps themed days? Sci-fi guests on one day, fantasy on the second?

If it was 2 days you would have a core of guests that attended both days and then a selection who attend on Saturday and then a selection on Sunday so that anyone who does attend for the weekend has more to meet/see/do etc This is not likely to happen though as we still want to cement our event, it is only 5 years old after all - next year will prove that it was not a one off flash in the pan and then we can look to do more and bigger with more International guests as well ~Jaime

is there an option for the Uni to provide more/bigger rooms? I'd have thought they'd have slighter bigger 'lecture' halls or something that would enable more people to go to the panels (like one of those sloping ones so you dont get blocked by peoples heads would be perfect!). For me the only downside of the whole day was not enough space for the numbers. However if it was a 2 day event / a Saturday I'd probably stay over in Wrexham and enjoy the after party, which I couldn't do this year

The majority of the lecture halls there aren't as big as you might imagine. The vast majority of the room is taken up by the seating, with a fairly narrow area towards the front for where the lecturer would normally be. Useless for anything other than a Q&A.
Main problem with that though is that anywhere that's part of the university building proper is going to be a logistical nightmare in opening it up to the public for a couple of days. The sports hall is good because it's a separate building that's easily run - but I dread to think of the implications for Health and Safety etc for holding it in Glyndwr itself.

You have to take into account also, the sports hall isn't actually owned by the university. It's separate, I can't remember if it's council owned or just altogether privately owned but it's totally separate ownership. Not to mention when you start opening up more buildings you have to get crew scattered around everywhere and people attending the event would get confused as to what building is where and what is happening in which room etc, even with a map you can guarantee people would get lost somehow haha On the note of the lecture theatres, the lecture theatre it was held in this year (the catrin finch) is pretty much the biggest on site.
