Hello, nice to see another convention attempt the UK market.
I hope my following questions don't offend in anyway, i am convention fan, one who has been let down in the past, along with a lot of other people.
You maybe aware of a certain promotion that took place in January and had ran two conventions previously. A lot of people who bought tickets to the last show are now in the process of taking the head of the convention to court, due to it being what can only be described as a form of scam.
Now no way am i aiming to tarn you guys with this brush, but as one of the people who got ripped off by the convention i mentioned above, i am very dubious about paying over £170 to someone i don't know, especially in this industry. I know for a fact a lot of the UK wrestling convention fans are still very bitter about the other convention mentioned, and in my honest opinion you might struggle to get them on board.
What i want to know, and im sure the convention community would like to know.. is, can we have some information about you, the convention team?.. who you are, your experience, are the wrestlers mentioned under written contract (to avoid no show disappointment)? How can you make us feel happy enough to part with over £170, based on the above info i have just provided?
I really hope this takes off and good luck to whoever is behind it, but be aware, you might face a bit of scrutiny based on how other convention promoters have behaved in the past!
All the best, Foxeth

Dear Foxeth,
First of all thanks ever so much for joining up to the boards and your support for being here! ;D
A little bit about ourselves as a company, we've been involved in conventions since 2007. We run our own event here in Wales each year known as the Wales Comic Con, which we have had such guests attend from all over the world including; Dirk Benedict of the A-Team, Gareth David-Lloyd of Torchwood, Danny John-Jules and Chloe Annett of Red Dwarf, Jeremy Bulloch and Kenny Baker of Star Wars and many more.
We have also worked as an agency supplying guests around Europe for both convention based signings and private ones.
But we've never really seen wrestlers brought over here...except for one other show...
Now we've seen everyone talking online and that is the only view we have of course. We will not sit here speculating about other shows though.
Our show is different - first of all rather than having just one day or evening with the guests we're bringing over at our event you get three! All for the one ticket price. The ticket doesn't just get you the autographs it gets you access to the biggest and most diverse range of dealers at any other wrestling based event in the UK. You also get access to some themed parties over the evenings as well (themes to be confirmed soon and depending on what ticket you buy you can get a private cocktail party also with some guests).
We will also be holding a charity auction where you can get some real wrestling goodies on offer only at this show and there will be multiple talks in a variety of themes and settings over the course of the weekend rather than just one talk with everyone.
This show is going to be fan-based and fan orientated. It relies on you guys to make it happen.
With regards to guests from anything but wrestling, we are wanting to bring guests from all aspects of sports entertainment for people to appreciate and the artist is a WWE magazine artist who I'm sure some people will want to meet (check out his Marvel artwork it's amazing!). The show is something we want to be diverse and fun for all involved.
Hope this helps and thanks for coming onboard!

Hi, thanks for the reply. Im sure when you announce more in the upcoming weeks, it will all start to unravel and im guessing will explain the price tag.
Im a gluten for wrestling convos, so i'll be very interested in attending, but its obviously going to be an expensive weekend for someone traveling from a different city (a couple of nights in a hotel, plus travel and general expenses on top of the £170). In regards to the price tag, i have read the list of what we get as fans, are we allowed to take our own shots with our own cameras too? Or are we purely limited to the 1 professional photo shot? Also, will that price cover at least 1 autograph from each of the guests?
thanks

We have to say guests that are in the signing hall only are free because we are always open to the idea of vendors attending and bringing guests also. These would however require a fee for an autograph. We will be arranging specialist photoshoots over the course of the weekend rather than "over the counter" photos at guests tables. Spread the word and thanks for the support. Jaime

Hi guys, I've gotta say, I've checked out your website and I'm pretty excited. I paid £160 in the past in the hopes of meeting my favourite wrestler ever( Hulk Hogan) and as I'm sure we're aware it didn't happen. I think its fantastic that another company is stepping up and making it a weekend event rather than just a day based event. The list of guests so far looks great. Bring on February! ps - Foxeth, Thanks for asking many questions I probably would have asked!

It gives you more for your money and gives you the fans more time with the guests and more time to spend taking part in the various activities, games, competitions and parties we will be holding! Roll on with the future and I thank you all for the support - this event will only happen if the fans support it. Jaime & the Team
