What about Northgate Arena in Chester? Or Venue Cymru in Llandudno, if you'd really like it stay in North Wales. Loved the show by the way, had a great time and if the ticket went up a little bit that wouldn't deter me from coming next year.

The Northgate Arena was looked at as an option a couple of years back, you'd think it would be a lot bigger, but it's actually pretty much the same size as Glyndwr sports hall except they have a bit more going on in the same building, so it was ruled out.

To be honest I would drive the extra as I drove an hour and 15 to get there from Rochdale

Well, one of the venues close by we are looking at seems to meet all the criteria except for people coming by train >_<

Probably a stupid idea considering the crazy rain we had on the way home, but what about a marquee? (the big tents like they have for festivals) People pay, get their hand stamped, and can walk freely between the hall and tent. Could focus on having mostly vendors in there, maybe some food stalls, Kitt/Impala car etc. Keep the guests in the main hall. If this is a really stupid idea, I'm blaming the cold meds. Edit: Never mind, just noticed a Facebook comment that it's already been considered as too expensive.

Don't worry, it's not a stupid idea, but as you've seen it is already something we've looked over for the event. We have found a fairly local venue we think will be ideal, but are going to view it tomorrow before we say any more on here Got a lot to figure out in terms of cost, capacity, parking and travel links too. Cost aside for the idea of extending the current venue, there is a lot of red tape placed by the Uni for this sort of thing. It took them 5 years to let us have a burger van o.O

is it Venue Cymru? that'd be ideal for me, and save on hotel costs. More money to spend at the event is always a good thing.

How about going the whole hog and booking somewhere like Pontins in Prestatyn where people can book chalets to stay over if they wish, the catering problem would be addressed and there is plenty of room for everything. There is a train station nearby for travellers and it would still be in North Wales!!!

Telford International Centre is about 40 miles from Wrexham and has no shortage of exhibition space, facilities or parking. I attend videogaming LAN events there occasionally and they have everything you'd need. Not sure on costs though

Telford isn't that far from Wales, I live in the middle and it's quite easy to get to. Also Chester isn't that far away from Wrexham, if it means a bigger venue and not much extra travel does it really matter?

It does matter in terms of convention name. Wales & North West ComicCon doesn't have quite the same ring

Not sure on costs though I know Craig from the i-Series and if we did a show anywhere else I assume the name would just arrange around it so we are open to all ideas, we would prefer it to stay in Wales but anything is an option in the future

How about Stiwt Theatre? They hire it out but I don't know how big it is as I have never been there
