There is only 2 options but we wanted to see your feedback, obviously this year has seen what can be achieved with the right balance of all things cool in this world.
We have been at the University now for 5 years and last year saw us achieve just under 1000 people attend the event - that combined with the presales for this year took us to imagine around 1500 people would attend.. we were wrong.
Just under 5000 rolled up to the campus that day and for health and safety reasons it was my decision to "lock the door" and keep people entering at a stagger like rate, if people chose to wait and stay that was up to them - the majority were happy once in and believe what they did, who they met and everything else in the time there in Wrexham was worth it - others however, had a slightly different view on things.
There are a number of venues outside of Wrexham itself some involving more travel time than others to get to and of course cost goes up and up and up.
I want to know your thoughts and feelings - do you like it where it is and want us to sell a limited amount of tickets for a smaller show or do you want us to expand and build upon things?
Someone said to me this year "you must have so much fun hanging out and meeting the people on your guestlist" to which I responded of course it is great to have them here but I dont really get to meet them besides picking them up the day before! I do these shows for the fans and prove you do not have to be in the big city to have a good time. I'm also very proud to be Welsh and house what is now the biggest event in Wales itself.
Again, let me know your thoughts they do not go unnoticed.

I'd like it see it expand, I'd be willing to pay a bit more for a bigger venue, I enjoyed it in the university but was getting a bit cramped by the end, so more room would hopefully bring more guests and more stands, keep up the good work and hopefully I'll be there again next year

Not being from North Wales, travelling from the East Midlands but luckily have a brother who lives 15 minutes away from the venue, the location of the the venue was brilliant, but sadly thats where it ended.
For the line up that you had, which for me is superior than the one that one of the top signing event organisers have got for their event this month which is held in one of the major events arenas in this country, the venue was never gonna be big enough.
My wife (who is currently 3 months pregnant) and I queued for near on 3 hours, without a mention of what was happening until we actually got to the front of the building the event was in.
If you continue to attract the guests that you did this year, then I am afraid sentimentality will have to go out of the window regarding the venue

I can only apologise for the wait as I've said with everyone, I hope all goes well and I loved the American Pie tshirt! ~J

I think based on the success of this year, that as long as there are great guests, people won't mind paying a little extra for a larger venue. It'll help the show to expand, and it definitely deeserves to do that

Perhaps stick with the same venue but if possible open up another building? so the event is split over three building's rather than the two. Or look at hosting a two day event, with the Q&A held in the main part on the second day. I realize due to the commitments etc of the celebs attending a two day event might not be possible, but it's an idea.

I'm probably going to be in the minority here but I feel lucky enough that so many celebrities come to Wrexham and I get to see them, how often are major film and TV stars in north wales! There's no way I could get anywhere further and it would break my heart if I couldn't go next year tickets are fab the way they are I always make sure I get early bird ones and the price is very reasonable, if you wanted to add a few more £ I would still buy them. I could see it must have got a lot more well known about this year as later on in the day it got more packed so I would say ask about opening more buildings and spreading it out. I do enough walking around on the day so a little further to another building to meet someone else I'm fine with. But walking X amount of miles from the train station to get to the venue or possibly not going at all I'm not keen on

I (being involved with this convention) know of 2 venues being looked at. Obviously can't let the cat out of the bag, but 1 is no more than a 30 minute drive from Wrexham, the other is about an hour away.
Solutions that I think would balance out where these venues are could be to have the show on a Saturday, this solves most transport issues and also to put the price up a little to cover the venue costs, maybe have the price at £8 and Early Bird at £10, but keep it to one big day out instead of charging people for 2 days.
As much as I love our little Comic Con in Wrexham, unfortunately there is only so much you can give people for a fiver entry fee and there's only so big we can expand the show if it's kept in a University sports hall (Which unfortunately seems to be the largest venue Wrexham has to offer) >_<

me personally, i don't mind if you move it just outside of wrexham, i travel to birmingham for cons so the travel doesnt bother me even though it was handy only walking up the road. and as for paying more again that doesnt bother me.

I really don't mind, I love it where it is at the moment because it's not that far away and I can get a lift there and back. If it does move further out I would still go because I love it and have been the last 4 years. But it would have to be near a train station as I don't drive and also near cheep accomodation as Sunday trains are rubbish and I would have to stay over the night before. I am up for anything that is decided so I haven't voted above

I'm indifferent I live in just outside of Wrexham myself and it is easy for me to get a lift to Glyndwr, however If the venue is bigger and the line up is as amazing, i will be willing to travel that little bit extra to attemd

We travel from Glasgow to the event so we're not fussed where it ends up - we'll be there again next year. I would definitely go for a bigger venue, we had an 11 month old in a buggy and it was getting really difficult to move. We also saw someone struggling throught the crowds with a wheelchair. I guess that if the venue is bigger then there could maybe be more guests and dealers. Bigger and better as everyone else is saying on here.

With the amount of people that turned up, it seems like it would be silly to stay in the smaller venue and have to turn people away.
It's a real shame that there are no bigger venues in Wrexham, but ultimately, it seems like a bigger venue would give you the chance to have more there and give people more of a reason to travel.
The key would probably be making sure that wherever you end up is still easy to get to by train - Glyndwr was idea because it's literally minutes from the train station!
