I thought this topic was long overdue...so here it is!
If anyone has any suggestions for the event please post them in here, where Mercury Promotions crew can discuss with the lovely WCC attendees what they'd like to see happen in the future.
Okay, so we've already established from WCC 2012, that a larger venue is needed due to the overwhelming (but very welcome) response we had and the queue's need to be more structured, duly noted. So let's forget about these issues in here as they have their own individual topics and are being looked at.
Let's get some ideas from you all, it could be as random as you like!
We want to make Wales Comic Con a little different from the rest, we want to be a bit more unique and we do have a few things up our sleeve for next year, but it would be awesome to hear what you guys come up with. As they say: 'Two heads are better than one'.
Maybe you've seen something work well elsewhere that we can translate into our geeky goodness, such as something you've seen at a festival, or it could even be something you've seen somewhere like a crafts fair, or as random as a food and drinks festival!
I know personally i saw some good ideas at the Boardmasters festival in Newquay a few years ago in terms of give aways, sponsors and games demo's. Also on the completely opposite side of the scale that could possibly work is something i saw on holiday at Disneyland, in the studio's where they had a workshop on how to draw step by step some of the Disney characters, this could possibly be translated into a super hero workshop?
Have you been to something similar and seen something you'd like us to get at our event?
I also saw a waffle van at another show which would be interesting, i'd personally love us to get a candy floss or popcorn machine and have screenings of either upcoming movie trailers or even sponsored TV show screenings (obviously this isn't happening at the moment, it's just an idea i'm throwing into the water here).
Would you be interested in Cosplay workshops or Creative industry taster sessions?
No idea is too crazy or strange, i'm sure however random the idea we could make it fit with the WCC!
I also want to end this post by pointing out this is NOT a complaints topic, we are looking for constructive feedback, by all means point out things that could do with improving, but with that please suggest how we could go about making it better.
We are still a young event and we can only get better by listening to our audience
