Well done - really lovely event today, and even though I didn't have pre-ordered tickets, the queues were much better organised. So whilst I had to wait, it was fine - took my camping chairs and there were plenty of hot drinks to buy. Great idea having the canteen open too!! Didn't feel as crowded, despite being obviously busier than last September(judging by the length of the queue), as everyone was spread out and in the William Aston Hall. Thank you very much for a great time

Seconded! Didn't think it could get better than WCC2012, but you guys didn't disappoint! OK things were a bit behind schedule with the Q&A's, but totally worth the wait. It's a lot better being spread out over the campus too imho. Congrats and thanks to all involved. Bring on the next one!

I noticed you dressed as Mankind.
One problem, the queues may have been organised well, but we queued over 3 hours to get in, we also noticed people that were behind us in the queue had somehow managed to get in much earlier.

Just wanted to add my thanks for an amazing day today. We had a brilliant time and all the guests were amazing. Special kudos for giving people wristbands for the entered as it kept things moving very quickly when the doors opened and the addition of a well-priced canteen and separate signing area for the red dwarf signers was brilliant. Well done guys and thank you so much for a great day.

Corabal- My guess is that the people that were behind you getting in quicker maybe was because they had pre-paid general entry tickets or they were people that had photo ops and needed to get in quicker because of that maybe.

I really wish I could add to the stories of success at the event, but unfortunately can’t call it 100% successful.
So here goes with our story of woe.
To set the scene, I found out that Nicholas Brendon was signing and doing a photoshoot way back in November. So with my sister being a longterm fan I bought an earlybird ticket and photoshoot at the time as a present.
All was set and excitement ensued when the present was given.
So she booked the hotel and travelled 4 hours up to the event.
With the earlybird tickets, it all started so brightly, got in quickly and got a signature early on. After that it sort of unravelled.
Went to the Catrin Finch centre for Midday when the photoshoot was to take place, found out that it was delayed for 30 mins – OK, doable with the Q & A session at 1:00. Then checked and it was unsure as and when each would take place due to overlap – He couldn’t be in 2 places at once, that is unless his twin was with him.
So then got confirmation from 2 places, at the photoshoot and Q & A door, he would do the Q & A session first and then the photoshoot. So sat waiting patiently for it to start, to be announced he was doing the photoshoot and running late. So a mad rush from the William Aston to Catrin Finch – OK, not too much hassle. She was then waiting when suddenly it was announced that the Q & A was to start and he would conclude the photoshoot later. So no panic, back to William Aston to get a seat and watch the Q & A.
After that had finished, it was then back to Catrin Finch, where a small queue built for the arrival of Nicky back there to conclude, only to find he had been directed back to the hall for autographs. So then chaos ensued. The staff and even Jaime didn’t seem to know when it would take place. The team of queuers split to find what was going on to be met with more “we don’t know” answers. I left my sister waiting and went back to main hall. Spoke with Nicky & assistant who had no sure time of resumption, but there would likely be an announcement. So went to the Red Dwarf Q & A.
Then dismay arrived when finding that whilst the Q & A was on the remainder of the photoshoot took place, without an announcement in William Aston – it had been missed. Major disappointment for my sister in not getting a photoshoot with her long-time hero. Even though this wasn't down to him at all I must add and very patient with questions on the matter.
So the only good part of the whole episode was that we got a refund for the photoshoot. This was 5 months in excitement and planning but dashed by poor organisation and announcements on this area with no real contingency in place when the whole photoshoot / Q & A timelines started going pearshaped.
Other than that, it was a big improvement on last year, seemed more organised with the queuing system and extra overall areas of the campus used.

Wow that was chaos inside today! Maybe I was spoilt by the organisation of london film and comic con. Where were the cars? Also, took ages to find where red dwarf were moved to. Next year needs a bigger place, I couldn't move and had no chance of looking at the stalls properly. On the plus side, It was great to see so many people in the spirit of things, cos-play costumes were great and people were lovely. Some great guests, shame I missed all the talks though. This event in a few years will be awesome, jsut a few tweaks and it would be better than london!

Whilst was a great day i have to say maybe next time spread the stalls out into different rooms as you could hardly look at most of them due to the ques for autographs passing along them. The delays with the talks was badly handled. Felt that the delays got worse and it was never thought to bring a talk forward when Nicholas Brendons was an hour behind. Maybe a re-shuffling needs to be thought of plus making more use of space by spreading stalls into other halls rooms
I loved the day and got the autigraphs i wanted but had to miss the GOT talk due to the drastic delay.
Can i also say every talk i attended was great all staff were friendly as were the guests big well done

I'd also love to add how much I loved WCC2013, I had an awesome time and loved the Q&A sessions I saw. The boys from the dwarf were so funny, they have to come again next year.
I'm so glad I made the effort to dress up, gonna have to work very hard for the next one. Did anyone else double take when they saw the guy dressed as Captain Jean-Luc Picard?
But can I request more interactive stalls for next year? Even if it's only face painting :-) My only complaint was that after you've toured the stalls and got the autographs you want, there's not a lot to hang around for :-(
